Hi, y'all! How are you? Hope you're having a fabulous Friday! I'll be spending mine working and starting an eight-page paper for History... Lovely. Gotta love advanced history. lol it's all good though, I'll be able to get it out easily because the prompt I chose is creative enough that I can write a lot with it (you could choose between two prompts; Prompt 1, which I chose, has a minimum of 8 pages and is like a script for a movie, and Prompt 2 is a minimum of 5 pages where you pretend to be Harry Truman writing a memoir about the Cold War).
 
So this is what I wore today. I wore an orange and black (navy?) cheetah print French Connection sleeveless crepe dress (with the belt in that position; exact), a black DKNY ruffled bolero (looks like the one in the picture but is cotton and by DKNY; not exact), white Keds sneakers (exact), CK One perfume (exact), brown Rimmel eyeliner (exact), black Blinc mascara (exact), clear peppermint Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm (exact), and Stila lip gloss in Kitten (exact).
 
Happy to have gotten the day over with... A guy hit on me when I was working out at the gym this morning lol. I was like "Dude it's 5:30 in the morning and I don't even like you. You called me fat in German last year. GTFO."

Oh my gosh, guys. Sorry I haven't done an OOTD in so long. I've just been super busy. Sorry, I know. Lame excuse. But I promise I'll be on more now! Springtime isn't quite as busy for me... even though it should be, considering I have SOLs in May and June. But oh well. I might not post OOTDs all the time though, because my mom is opening a new store and I'm probably going to be working at her old children's store a bit more now. So yeah.
 
Anyways, on to my outfit. Today I'm wearing a bright lemon yellow Ann Taylor LOFT blouse (exact but different color) over a grey Old Navy tank top (not pictured), and then dark wash Hollister jeans (exact) and brown Steve Madden combat boots (exact). For my accessories, I have on a rose gold Michael Kors watch (exact), rose gold Sterling Silvia sideways cross bracelet (exact except rose gold), and a rose gold Marc Jacobs bow bangle (exact). For makeup, I have on brown glitter Lorac eyeliner (exact) on my top lid only, Velvet Revolver from the Too Faced Natural Eye palette (exact; btw, I just got the palette Friday and I am in LOVE with it! Such great colors and tips :)), Blinc black mascara (exact), Tarte amazonian clay blush in peaceful (exact), and clear Maybelline Baby Lips peppermint lip balm (exact). I also have CK One perfume on my wrists and neck (exact).
 
As for homework, I had a French worksheet and a History worksheet on communism/capitalism.
 
I got my hair cut a few weeks ago. It's a long bob; at about a little below collarbone-length.
 
On the personal life front, I've started watching Pewdiepie a lot... lol I love him. He's hilarious. And I found out my guy friend watches Jenna Marbles... I told him he is going to get a lot of girls in high school. I love Jenna Marbles. Did you read the NY TImes article on her? It was pretty good... but made me realize how I so should not be watching her. But ah well. :D
 
Let's see... my friends didn't place at States, so that was kind of sad, but the guy is already over it haha. I love Pandora. Right now I'm listening to "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane, on my Imagine Dragons station. The stations I have are Imagine Dragons, Twix (it was an accident lol), Ingrid Michaelson, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Karmin, Coldplay, Christina Perri, Adele, Regina Spektor, Cher Lloyd, Calvin Harris, Florence + the Machine, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, OneRepublic, Foster The People, One Direction, and Lana Del Rey. Wow that was a long list. Sorry.
 
We're having chicken with tomatoes and garlic and wild rice tonight. Yummy.

Hey, y'all! What's up? :) Hope you had a lovely weekend. I placed 3rd at NHD Districts, so no States for me, but I'm super happy for three of my best friends, because they're going to States! I'm sure we'll all be cheering them on in June because they're certainly going to Nationals.
 
Okay I don't know if this is weird but I'm super obsessed with this one song, "My Soul's Been Anchored in the Lord." I heard it at a choir state assessment two Saturdays ago and I can't get it out of my head. I just love the arrangement! It's probably one of the best gospel songs/religious songs I've ever heard.
 
Speaking of religion, I've become a lot more religious lately. I bought a matching cross necklace and bracelet set in New Orleans a few weeks ago (given, it is a sideways cross, and rose gold) and I've been wearing it a lot. I also started re-reading the Bible and actually taking notes, being the geek I am, lol. Honestly, I'm actually taking notes on the relationships (i.e., who is son of who and such) because I get a bit confused and I also find it interesting. I guess I just realized that I'm very blessed by God in not just this way, of having lovely clothes, but also because my grandmother has survived cancer three times, my grandfather has had prostate cancer and lived, and so on. I'm just a very lucky, blessed girl. I've been pretty protected, I only experienced my first major loss a few years ago.
 
So, sorry for the rambling. Today I'm wearing a fuchsia and cream geometric print shawl-collar cardigan (Forever 21, exact) over a grey HRVarsity tee (not in set), paired with dark wash skinny jeans (Hollister, exact) and dark grey knit boots folded over (UGG Australia, exact). My hair was naturally wavy because I showered yesterday, so I just left it like it was (although I brushed it haha) and put in a black headband with like one squiggly band of pink glitter (not in set). I also wore my rose gold side cross necklace over my tee. For my makeup, I used black mascara (Blinc, exact) and honey-colored lightly shimmery eyeshadow (from the Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette, not in set) on my lids. I put on clear lip balm (Maybelline Baby Lips, exact), then nude lip balm over that (Fresh Sugar Honey, exact), and finally, peach shimmery lip gloss to top it off (MAC Lustreglass in Love Nectar, exact).
 
I didn't really put a lot of effort into my outfit today, to be honest, simply because it had snowed and I was expecting a snow day because my school district usually totally wimps out and does a 2-hour delay or closing if there's even half an inch of snow, because our roads are pretty bad anyway without it haha. Plus Virginia's not used to snow TBH. But we didn't, and I hadn't picked out my outfit the night before like I usually do (bad, lack of preparation), so I just threw this together last minute. Not my cutest outfit, I'll admit, but it had to do.
 
Homework:
French: Page 39, exercises 1-2, and page 40, exercises 3-4 in cahier. Complete.
Science: Finish Page 47 in packet. Complete.
Math: Packet. Complete.

Hi! Thought I'd post an OOTD for you guys, since I have some time to kill. :) I'm doing NHD Districts today. Right now I'm at a Starbucks; I presented my individual documentary at 11:40. Took 20 minutes. Been at the Starbucks for about 20-30 minutes.
 
I'm wearing a wine-red Zara dress (same as in the set but wine-red), black brocade Forever 21 blazer (exact, wearing it the same way too), black Merona tights, and black suede Jeffrey Campbell wedges with cut-outs and they tie in the front. My hair's curled, and yeah. I'm excited to see if I've won. I hope I have.

hey! :) i haven't made a set in a long time, and i'm sorry. i just needed the break. i've been doing a lot of personal thinking and i didn't really want to focus on polyvore. life's been exciting though so i didn't really have much time to get bored.
 
in recent news for me, i had to go to a choir assessment today. we had to take a bus to denbigh, which really isn't a good part of newport news, and perform in front of judges. but we got a 2 out of 5 (5 being the worst, and 1 being superior) so it's all good, and the bus trip back was a lot of fun haha. what i wore: the choir dress is not very flattering on most people, but i like how it looks on me. it's black, and super long, and kind of sticks to you, so if you're kind of curvy like me then it works. and the sleeves (it's short sleeved) are really flowy. my only problem with it is that it's kind of low-cut, but it is a sweetheart neckline so whatever. i just wore my grey and black kenneth cole reaction leopard/cheetah/whatever print flats with it and black hose (required) and my diamond studs. that's basically it as we couldn't wear any real jewelry. and i just put on some mascara, peppermint baby lips, and nudeish-pink mac lip gloss. right now i'm just wearing an hrvarsity tee and vs pink sweatpants (which are, coincidentally, pink). they're really loose, i think i got them a size too big lol, which is a rarity for me. that's about it. i straightened my hair today, but i think it's time for a haircut. also i think my grandmother is going to pluck my eyebrows tomorrow haha. they're not very arched... a little too much hair i guess idk haha. sorry i guess i'm being a little too detailed. sorry!!!!
 
um, i don't really know what else. i have all a's so i'm pretty happy with that, so far i don't have any a-minuses either so that's good. i watched two movies with my mother and grandmother tonight. first we watched this movie called the decoy bride on netflix, and then we watched the middle to the end of juno on bravo. so cool i guess haha. oh, my grandmother and mom went to steinmart and ulta because there's a new shopping center here (thank god!), and when they went to ulta they got me some mint-colored hair chalk. :) but i might be going tomorrow because i'm going to la in two weeks for spring break, and i think i'll need some facial wipes etc. just essentials that i don't have at the moment.
 
so yeah. i'll try to be more active from now on. :)

hey! sorry i haven't been on in a while, i've just been super busy studying for midterms and going to my grandparents' house, as my parents are away at a convention. they'll be back thursday so i can't wait to see them, they got me a black One Direction sweatshirt that says in hot pink, "KEEP CALM AND LOVE ONE DIRECTION," I saw it on FaceTime, it's super cute!

hi guys! the past two days have been pretty eventful for me! so on thursday, i got back my district writing prompt, and i got a perfect score, so pretty happy about that. :) then, as an early birthday present (it's my only b-day present) i got a macbook air. so yes, now i am a mac mother haha. dunno if this is weird but i named my mac carter... but she's a girl. haha idk. so from now on, everything i make is on my mac - including this set yes. loving the backlit keyboard! okay sorry haha.

i bought some new itunes music because the best buy guy gave us two sets of $30 iTunes/App Store gift cards. spent some of the money on Pages and Keynote, because I need that, but I bought some music on iTunes too; I bought Locked Out of Heaven by Bruno Mars, National Anthem by Lana Del Rey, Dark Paradise by Lana Del Rey, Bel Air by Lana Del Rey, Spectrum by Florence + the Machine, and Princess of China (Acoustic) by Coldplay & Rihanna.
